Nike Dunks in the low-top style aren’t as trendy as they used to be a few years back, but even today, it’s hard to find a summer shoe that’s more in demand. Nike has been releasing a plethora of Dunks in recent years, and they continue to expand their Dunk Low lineup for Summer 2024 with a fresh “Dragon Red” colorway.
The shoe features the titular red hue on the Swoosh, sole, and Nike branding on the tongue and heel. The rest of the upper combines black and white leather, creating a “Panda” aesthetic. While fans of the “Chicago” and “Bred” Nike sneakers have seen various red and black Dunks paying homage to those iconic looks, this pair deviates from that trend. Instead, the “Dragon Red” shade falls somewhere between red and orange, giving it a slightly Halloween-esque vibe when paired with the black overlays. It wouldn’t be surprising to see supporters of teams like the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Flyers, and others gravitating towards this shoe due to its subtle incorporation of popular team colors.
