The Matthew M. Williams x Nike MMW TRD Run 6 has been unveiled in two color variations through official Nike images. Apart from the previously revealed all-black option, a second all-grey version is set to release in the summer of 2024.
Although Matthew M. Williams’ collaborations with various brands have been diverse over time, his partnership with Nike has remained consistent since 2019. Adding to their collaborative history, which includes a pair of Air Force 1 collaborations, Williams introduces the Nike MMW TRD Run 6 as the latest addition, initially teased as part of his Nike MMW SS24 Yoga collection.
Similar to the previous AF1s, the color scheme for this model is understated and sleek, featuring a “Triple Black” debut appearance. However, the design of the shoe itself is strikingly unique. Notably, it features a split sole with an Air unit integrated into the front section. The sole’s segmented composition and additional traction plate bear a strong resemblance to the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%.
On the upper part of the shoe, details such as wide, nearly translucent laces and graphic overlays on the eyestays and collar contribute to its distinct aesthetic. While some elements may draw inspiration from other Nike running models, the overall combination of the all-black design and segmented sole reflects Williams’ design ethos.
As of now, there is no specific release information available for this silhouette. However, considering the recent release of the Yoga collection, it’s expected that the Nike MMW TRD Run 6 will make its debut in the coming weeks.
