Nike Air Force 1 Low “Linen”

The Nike Air Force 1 Linen is making a highly anticipated return on June 13th, 2024, and will be available on SNKRS and at select retailers worldwide. This release is part of Nike Sportswear’s “Cult Classics” collection. Originally released exclusively in Japan in 2001 (known as a CO.JP release), the Linen Air Force 1 is celebrated as one of the most iconic Air Force 1 designs ever.

A Brief History

The Air Force 1 “Linen” debuted in 2001, sold solely in Japan as part of the “CO.JP” (Concept of Japan) series. At that time, Nike was uncertain about the marketability of classic models like the Air Force 1 and Dunk, as consumers were focused on new and innovative sneaker technologies. This led to a limited production run, which in turn increased their scarcity and value. The unique colorway has been widely imitated, making the Air Force 1 “Linen” a sought-after “grail” for sneaker collectors.

In December 2016, Nike partnered with Kith for an exclusive re-release of the Air Force 1 Linen at Kith’s new Miami flagship store. That was the last time these sneakers were available.

Following rumors in September 2023, Nike officially announced in Spring 2024 that the tan and pink Air Force 1s would be re-released. They will be available on June 13th for $135.
