The X-Men are experiencing a resurgence in popularity, making their debut in the MCU with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and captivating cartoon enthusiasts with X-Men 97. It’s only natural to seize this moment by introducing footwear options. Marvel’s creative minds certainly had the same idea, enlisting Reebok to create a collection featuring their beloved characters.
Each shoe in the collection faithfully recreates the appearance of a character from X-Men 97. Wolverine’s iconic yellow, black, and blue colors adorn the Classic Leather model, with a touch of black suede extending from the eyestays. Sharp-eyed fans will notice angled geometric patterns on the heel cup and midfoot overlay, echoing Howlett’s horned mask design. Gambit’s shoe, on the other hand, is based on the Reebok Club C, a perfect fit considering his signature trench coat look. This edition features a sophisticated combination of black and brown suede as its base, while vibrant neon pink and purple accents bring the design to life.
Currently, only the “Gambit” and “Wolverine” pairs have been confirmed for release by retailers. However, given past Reebok collaborations which have included up to six pairs, it’s possible that more characters will join this collection. For now, these two pairs will be available for $90 each and will launch on May 2nd. Below, you’ll find official images of each shoe.
